Ride the Runway Whākatane
Whakatāne Port replaced aircraft with bikes and scooters ridden by young and old for a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with an airport runway.
The second annual ‘RIDE THE RUNWAY’ was held on Saturday 5thOctober. The weather did not disappoint which helped draw in the crowd; with over three times more participants than 2023.
The event was supported by JNP Aviation,with participants treated to BBQ sausages and a tour of the Whakatāne Flying School.
